Activity 1: Creating visual textures.
I created this texture for "what represents me". It consists of a sunflower at the background, sparrows, zebra prints and musical notes. These elements represents the things I love.
I absolutely love flowers, and sunflowers, in particular, is my favourite.
Zebra prints is one of the few patterns I like, because I love how the bold lines zig zag across the animal's body so randomly yet beautifully. It also represents how random my thoughts can be at times.
Sparrows represent my dreams, how I aspire to be able to fly so freely like them one day.
Basically, the swirls extending from the left represent the strong wind that was blowing in my face. The spirals surrounding represent my thoughts, and the scribbles at the bottom represents the noise coming from the drilling below my block.
This "futuristic" texture consists of all sorts of lines, shades and curves. I feel that something coming from the future should be full of innovation, full of creativity. Thus I created such a visual texture.
Activity 2:
We were given a task to draw one of the two spots given, either outside hilltop library or the link bridge. I chose the former, because I felt that it would give me more things to draw. However, I did face some challenges such as the precise lines from the stairs to the walls to the windows and the supports.
